We’re happy to announce the successful completion of the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 transition audit for our office and manufacturing facility. The ISO audit measures our quality systems and processes against an international standard as a way to measure quality and commitment to customers and stakeholders.
Tom Markert, our president, stated, “In an industry where quality and precision are so important, I’m proud of our team for their efforts to achieve this certification. It is an important demonstration of our commitment to our customer’s success, and the thoughtful process required to create extremely reliable and high-quality lottery drawing systems.”
The audit was completed by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. an internationally recognized registrar, accredited by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) among others. According to ISO, achieving 9001:2015 certification means that an organization has demonstrated the following:
- Customer focus
- Leadership and Innovation of people
- Systematic approach to management
- Continual process improvement
- Factual approach to decision-making
- Mutually beneficial supplier relations
The newest version of the ISO 9001 certification contains key updates including an emphasis on risk-based thinking to enhance the application of the process approach, improved applicability for services and increased leadership requirements. Smartplay’s registration certificate can be found here.
